Is Kanye releasing his very own streaming service to compete with Tidal?

Reports have emerged that Kanye has filed trademark for something called “Yeezy Sound,” indicating moves toward a possible streaming service.

Filed on November 2, 2017, the the trademark stipulates that Kanye will be able to use Yeezy Sound on all “streaming of music, audio, images, video and other multimedia content over the internet.” Few other details are known, and as of press time, Kanye’s team has yet to comment. However, many believe that this may be his attempt to create a rival streaming service to JAY-Z’s TIDAL, particularly after claims that JAY has yet to pay all the royalties he is owed. - Via: #Highsnobiety #Kanyewest #Jayz #Tidal #YeezySound

Prince requested InStyle Magazine to hire a black woman to interview him

The legendary artist formerly known as prince was known for many things: his genius level talent, his fancy clothing and the love he had for black women.
Prince supported and mentored countless people, particularly women of color, and used his platform to help boost their careers. Erica Kennedy was one of those people.

Kennedy, a feminist author and journalist, known for her best selling novel "Bling," spoke on how she attempted to get her work published with InStyle Magazine in the year 2000 and how it was extremely difficult due to the fact that black writers weren't as visible in mainstream media.

Kennedy explained how prince helped her get in with InStyle Mag: "I had sent my clips to InStyle and one Friday afternoon they left me a frantic message. Turns out they wanted me to interview The Artist (as he was called then) and it could happen at any moment so they wanted to have me on standby. Of course, I’m psyched, but I’m also suspicious because they had never worked with me and I was so green. So I asked, “Why me?” They tell me he specifically asked for an African-American female writer and I thought, Out of the whole Time, Inc. network, I’m all you got? At that point in my career, anybody would have been more qualified than me! So in the book, the idea that Sydney is offered this cushy contract, even though she was previously just a temp, is derived from the fact that I got drafted into the big leagues under the Prince Rogers Nelson affirmative action plan."

The story is truly remarkable, sadly Prince and Erica Kennedy are no longer living with us today. Kennedy passed away in 2012.

Is Nicki Minaj behind the D'angelo Russell scandal?

This is better than #Empire! Ok, so D'angelo Russell has been getting dragged on social media for allegedly "dry snitching" on his teammate, #NickYoung. Well everyone seems to be wondering who leaked the video because the rookie didn't make it go viral himself.

#Bossip revealed that A Houston ESPN radio affiliate claims they may have the answer. During a phone interview with a staffer from #Fameolous, ESPN Houston 97.5 exposed #NickiMinaj and her team, as the TRUE culprit behind the D’Angelo Russell tape leaking to social media.

The anonymous Fameolous source says that Nicki Minaj didn't appreciate the shade #IggyAzalea threw her way while appearing on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live last week. So she wanted to aim below the belt and decided to blow up the video, which was actually posted via D’Angelo’s SnapChat the very next day. A source from Nicki's camp sent the video to Fameolous, and vuala, there you have it.

Kelly Rowland opens up about new ventures

The lovely #KellyRowland sat down with 'TheYBF' and chatted about her beauty line, "Chasing Destiny," and the secret on how she keeps her toned body...

On her upcoming make up/beauty line:

“I am [coming out with my own beauty line]! I’m so excited! It couldn’t come fast enough. We have been working on this forever. We’re actually starting with lashes, and then we’re going to graduate into everything else. Sheika, one my makeup artists, we have just become tighter than tight, like. She’s one of my closest friends, and she started just by literally cutting lashes and making them for my eye shape. She works with one of my best friends, Lala, and now she does Nicki Minaj, too. She tailors the lashes to each eye, and I’m like, ‘We’ve got to figure out a way to do that for the masses.’ We’ve done it, and we’re very excited about that.”

On how she keeps her trimmed and toned figure:

“I love food, and I just have to be careful. I try to practice the 80/20 rule, where 80% of the time you eat the food that really helps your body, and then you have that 20% where you just want like three glasses of wine, some whisky sours, pizza, nachos [laughs], that kind of thing. That’s me.

On why she chose to do “Chasing Destiny”:

“Ever since Destiny's Child’s very last tour, I remember thinking to myself, ‘I want to put together a girl group.’ I just haven’t had the time to do it because I was busy doing my own projects and I was so invested in that. I didn’t want to be one of those artists who was so enthralled in what I had to do that I couldn’t really pay attention to the artists that I would be taking under my wing. I wanted to be completely focused on it, and that’s exactly what happened [with Chasing Destiny]. I had the time, and it has been a wonderful process.

On advice to aspiring artists:

“[My advice to anyone wanting to be a musician is to] save your money. You have to be selfish with your money. It’s so funny—as an artist, you have people who are so supportive of you on the way up, and you want to be able to help them because you feel like they were there for you. The truth is that you have to take care of yourself first, and then you take care of those people. Think about your future. The more you help people out, you have to look back at your account and be like, where did the thousands, the hundreds of thousands of dollars go? It’s great to have a good heart, but it’s also good to look at your account and be like ‘Look at what I accomplished, how can I invest it?’

Jared Fogle got his a** whopped!

Remember #JaredFogle? The Subway guy, who was jailed for distribution and receipt of child pornography? How can we forget right? Well #TMZ reported that Fogle was attacked in prison by an inmate who despises child molesters.
---------------------------------------
According to docs, Fogle got jumped in the rec yard at Englewood prison in Colorado back on January 29, and it was not much of a fight. An inmate named Steven Nigg pushed Fogle down and then unloaded a barrage of punches to his face.
---------------------------------------
Nigg, who's in for a weapons charge, left Fogle with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck. 60-year-old Nigg was also injured -- a small cut on his left hand from delivering the whuppin'. Prison officials put Nigg in solitary as punishment.
