The Finding Dory film is set to release June 17, 2016. Ellen DeGeneres who was the voice of Dory in Finding Nemo, is set to be the voice over in Finding Dory as well. As previously announced, the story begins six months after "Finding Nemo" ends. Dory finds out that she was born at the Marine Biology Institute of California, a large rehabilitation facility for marine life, and was freed into the ocean at a young age. Emulating Dory's memory, the film's flashbacks are 2D animation.
